Mac Security Guard Staring at AI Agents
Plango is a Mac security tool with the slogan "Prevent AI with AI". It pays special attention to the risks that developers tend to overlook when programming with AI: what commands the programming agent executes, which MCP servers are connected, and whether the installed skills and plug-ins are reliable.
The functions are relatively comprehensive: monitor the operations of Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Aider and other agents and block dangerous actions; check each MCP server, skill and plug-in; move the keys stored in plain text in . All judgments are made by a locally running security model, which tells you where the problem is in plain language.
Requires Apple chip and macOS 15 or above, free trial available. For developers who have installed a bunch of AI tools on their computers but can’t tell what they are doing, it is worth installing one and taking a look.
