Programming Agent specially polished for open source models
Command Code is a command-line programming agent that can be installed with one line of npm commands. It is positioned as a "Claude Code replacement for the open source model".
It focuses on several things: tool call errors for each model will be automatically repaired, the token consumption when reading files and running shells is very low, and the cache hit rate can reach more than 99%; there is also a function called taste-1, which will continue to learn your coding habits, and the more you use it, the more it will look like what you wrote yourself. It supports about 50 models, and its home base is cheap open source models such as DeepSeek V4.1 Flash and GLM 5.3 Flash.
Pricing is the reason why it has recently become popular: the GOAT package is $10 per month, with a usage quota of up to $100, and it has been announced that this quota is permanently valid; there is also an entry level of $1 per month. Officially, more than 100,000 developers are using it. People who want to use the open source model to write code but feel that Claude Code is expensive can try it. However, there is still a gap between the open source model and the top closed source model for complex refactoring.
