WeChat Red Packet Cover 2023

The event is over—see you next year!!
The 2023 Lunar New Year—the Year of the Rabbit—is just around the corner. Have you started getting ready to go back to your village for the Spring Festival? Xiaobang plans to head home next week for the holiday—after all, isn’t a whole year of working away from home just for these few days?

As usual, Xiaobang has made another WeChat red packet cover today to give back to the friends who have supported Xiaobang over the years! This year, WeChat launched custom-shaped red packet covers, which look much nicer than those from previous years. First, let’s take a look at how Xiaobang’s turned out!

I think it’s pretty good myself, though of course it can’t compare with professional designers. None of the materials used in the cover were designed by Xiaobang—and of course I couldn’t design them either. They were pieced together from materials I found on some platform!

I put a lot of effort into making this Red Packet cover too—it took several submissions before it passed review. WeChat requires you to prove that there are no copyright issues with every single asset, which is pretty difficult for an ordinary user (who doesn’t know how to design). It took me a long time of trial and error to finally get it done!

How do I claim it?

WeChat red packet covers have to be purchased from Tencent, and each one distributed costs 1 yuan. To give back to all our fans for their support, Xiaobang is giving them away free to everyone here.

To prevent the red packet link from leaking, everyone, follow my...WeChat Official Account: Ma Xiaobang, Reply:Red envelope coverI’ll send them to everyone manually. Since it’s done by hand with one code per person, it’s a bit slow! Please bear with me~
