Question: How to merge split files?

Since GitHub has a maximum limit on the upload of a single file, files larger than 100MB will be refused to upload, and files larger than 50MB will receive a warning when uploaded. Therefore, files larger than 50MB will be split into multiple files of 35MB each.

Example

Example of file being split:

• Compulsory education textbook · Mathematics for Grade 1 Volume 1.pdf.1
• Compulsory education textbook · Mathematics for Grade 1 Volume 1.pdf.2

Solution

To merge these split files, you only need to perform the following steps (the same is true for other operating systems):

1. Download the merge program mergePDFs-windows-amd64.exe to the folder containing the PDF files.
2. Make sure mergePDFs-windows-amd64.exe and the split PDF files are in the same directory.
3. Double-click the mergePDFs-windows-amd64.exe program to automatically complete file merging.
