Regarding partitioning tools, there are well-known DiskGenius or EaseUS Partition Master. Why do I recommend AOMEI Partition Assistant in Tbox Navigation? Because it is too friendly to novices.
On a computer from many years ago, the 150G C drive was immediately full. Even after cleaning up some software, it was still not enough. I was too lazy to reinstall the system and repartition it. I just want to use other partitions to expand the C drive. It took less than ten minutes to open AOMEI Partition Assistant and help me achieve lossless expansion.
Aomei Partition Assistant is a free disk partition management software from Chengdu Aomei Technology. It is a very old software. I have not used this software for many years since I stopped messing with computers. Its biggest conscience point is that all core functions are free, and the official even promises to be free forever.
hisThe core selling point is: lossless data, no need to format and reinstall. In the past, Windows came with its own disk management tool to adjust partitions. In most cases, it was necessary to delete adjacent partitions or even format the entire hard disk. AOMEI Partition Assistant is not required at all, all operations can be completed without losing data.
For example, here, if the C drive space is almost full, I can use it to redistribute the free space of the E drive to the C drive without loss.
It’s very easy to get started and the page is clear and concise. It's completely free. Now you only need to follow a public account to use it for free.
Of course, it’s not just for partition management, AOMEI Partition Assistant’s functions are really comprehensive:
Let me share with you some tutorials for common scenarios! ! !
Scenario 1: Drive C becomes popular, and space needs to be allocated from drive D to drive C.(most commonly used scenario)
Open the software, right-click on the partition rectangle of the D drive and select "Allocate Free Space". In the pop-up window, enter the amount of space you want to allocate from the D drive (for example, 30000MB is about 30GB), and then select the C drive in the drop-down box of "Allocate to which partition". After the preview is correct, click "OK" to return to the main interface. Finally, click "Submit" in the upper left corner, and then click "Execute". The computer may restart once, and the C drive will have grown by the time it comes back.
Scenario 2: I bought a new SSD and want to move the system from the old hard drive to it.
Don’t foolishly reinstall the system when replacing a new SSD. It’s too troublesome to have to reinstall all the software. Open the Partition Assistant, click "Clone" on the menu bar, and then select "Migrate System to SSD". Select the newly installed SSD as the target disk. You can freely adjust the size of the new system partition (it is recommended to leave more than 100G for the system disk), and then execute it after confirmation.
Scenario 3: The new computer only has one C drive and wants to separate a D drive
Open the software, right-click the C drive and select "Adjust/Move Partition". Press and hold the circular control button on the left or right side and drag it inward to compress the unallocated space from the original disk. Then right-click and select "Create Partition", and click "Confirm" all the way to submit for execution.
