SkipSponsor – YouTube sponsor detection

SkipSponsor is a lightweight browser extension that uses natural language processing (NLP) to detect sponsored content in YouTube videos. It analyzes video transcripts to identify sponsored segments and provides a button to skip them. The extension uses a machine learning model trained on more than 300,000 video transcripts, annotated with the crowdsourced SponsorBlock dataset. To reduce the impact on browser performance, the model is hosted on a server.

SkipSponsor automatically detects sponsored segments in YouTube videos. Once detected, a button appears in the interface that lets you skip the sponsored content.
